Dear Resident,
PC Lee Macpherson has joined the local community team in the Downham Market area. PC Lee Macpherson has moved into the role after spending time in response (the team who deal with 999 and 101 calls). He will now be one of the beat managers working in the community, building relationships and working with local people to make the area safer. He is joining the existing three officers in the team We wanted to find out a little more about Lee… Lee: I will now be working in Downham Market town centre and the surrounding areas, where I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with the community, problem-solving local issues, and providing visible, accessible policing. I am passionate about bringing back traditional policing – this will include regular foot patrols and I really enjoy getting the chance to say hello to local people while I’m out and about. If you do see me then please stop and say hi! I’ve been in policing since 2009 when I started as a Special Constable with Essex Police. I really enjoyed this role and worked there for five years before re-joining as a regular officer in 2017. I transferred to Norfolk Constabulary in 2021 where I worked on Response in King’s Lynn and later Downham Market. Outside of work, I’m passionate about fitness and enjoy spending time in the gym. I’m also always happy to stop for a good coffee and a friendly chat.
PC Lee Macpherson will be at Tesco's Downham Market on 16th January 2026 between 11am and 1pm and would love it if you could stop and have a chat with him if you are in the area!
